Capital Improvement Program
The school system's capital budget funds the construction of new school facilities, the construction of additions, the renovation of existing schools, and the replacement of major building systems. The funding is provided by the State and County governments. Each year in October, the Board of Education approves a Capital Improvement Program Request that is submitted to both the State and County. This document includes a capital budget for the upcoming fiscal year, and a five-year capital improvement program for future years.
The Board of Education approved the 2017 Capital Budget and 2018-2022 CIP Request on October 14, 2015.
