The mission of our school library is to foster a life-long love of reading and provide resources and learning opportunities to support students as they grow into independent, critical thinkers.

About EVE's Library Media Center

The Library Media Center at Ebb Valley Elementary School has over 26,000 items including: books, magazines, ebooks, DVD's kits, books on CD, and reference materials.  The media center has several computers available for student and staff use.  All computers have access to Destiny OPAC (our online catalog), the internet, online subscription databases, and various software programs.

Kindergarten students visit the media center for two 30 minute classes each week. All other students have media for 30 minutes each week. In addition to borrowing books, students are engaged in lessons from the media curriculum. Instruction is designed to teach literature appreciation and information, technology, and research skills.  Library media skills instruction is integrated with classroom learning whenever possible.
