Physical Education - Middle School
Middle school students participate in developmentally appropriate physical education class for approximately ninety minutes per week. The middle school physical education curriculum provides a variety of themed activities to enhance lifetime physical fitness. The themed activities include fitness, throwing and catching, striking and movement/group initiatives. These activities are incorporated into the curriculum with a focus on modified sport and movement lessons.
In the 2007-2008 school year, each middle school was provided with cardiovascular equipment. The equipment includes treadmills, rowing machines, ellipticals, and bikes.
All students are required to wear an approved physical education uniform and athletic shoes.
