Ms. Owens, Guidance
Counselor (A, G-J),
earned her bachelors from Western
Maryland in biology and secondary
education with a minor in chemistry
and her masters in counseling from
McDaniel. She was a science teacher
at Sykesville Middle and later as an
original faculty member of Oklahoma
Road Middle. She has been a
guidance counselor at NCH for 4
years. |

Ms. Kraft, Guidance Counselor
(B, W-Z)
earned
her bachelors from the
University of Maryland College
Park in education and family and
consumer science (FACS). She
earned her masters in school
counseling from McDaniel
College. She began her career at
NCHS, teaching FACS for 16 years
before becoming a guidance
counselor. This is her
third year as a counselor at
NCHS.

Ms. Hirsch, Guidance
Counselor (C-F)
earned a bachelors in science at
Towson State University and a
masters in school counseling at
McDaniel College. She is also
certified as a school administrator.
She began her career as a science
teacher at Sykesville Middle and
then became a guidance counselor
there. She was part of the
original staff at Oklahoma Road
Middle before joining North Carroll
HS. She has been at NCHS for the
past seven years and is the guidance
department's chairperson. |

Ms. Cunningham,
Guidance Counselor (K-N),
Before
coming to North Carroll as a
guidance counselor, Ms.
Cunningham worked for 17 years
as a vocational rehabilitation
specialist for individuals with
disabilities . She
attended Frostburg State College
where she earned her B.S.
and McDaniel College where she
received her MS in Counselor
Certification.

Ms.
Ndaka, Guidance Counselor (O-R, T-V),
earned
her bachelors degree in
communication and African American
Studies from University of Maryland
and a masters in counseling from
Trinity University. She began her
career in education as a social
studies teacher. In addition, she
played basketball at the University
of Maryland. |

Ms. Huber,
Guidance Counselor (S),
joins us from Liberty High
School where she completed 8
years as a counselor. She
is a graduate of Western
Maryland College.

Ms.
Gordon, Support Counselor (M-Z),
After
graduating from NCHS in 1986 I
attended UMBC and majored in
Pyschology and Social Work. I
graduated with BA in May 1990. I
attended graduate school at
the University of MD School of
Social Work and Community Planning.
I majored in Clinical Social Work
and graduated in May of 1991 with an
MSW. I worked as an outpatient
mental health therapist at Family
and Children's Services of Central
MD for 14 years before coming back
to NCHS as a Crisis Intervention
Specialist in 2005. |

Mr. Shrader,
Support Counselor (A-L),
earned bachelors in sociology
and anthropology from Towson
State University and his masters
in community counseling
from Western Maryland College.
He spent 12 years with the
department of juvenile services
as a case manager prior to
coming to CCPS. He has been at
NCHS for eight years.
