Administration and Support Staff

Principal, Mrs. Diane Cooper

Mrs. Cooper received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Miami University (Ohio). After travelling for a year, she graduated from Indiana University where she received her Master’s Degree in Education. Mrs. Cooper came to CCPS in 1994. She served as a Crisis / School Counselor for 8 years at the Gateway School, Liberty High School, and Westminster High School. She was then a Pupil Personnel Worker for four years. Mrs. Cooper has served as an Assistant Principal at South Carroll, Francis Scott Key, and Liberty High Schools. 

Administrative Principal, Mrs. Lois Tiffany

Mrs. Tiffany received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Psychology and Animal Behavior from Towson University.  She earned her Master’s Degree from McDaniel College in Education Administration.  Prior to coming to South Carroll, Mrs. Tiffany spent 10 years teaching science for the Ingenuity Project in Baltimore City and 6 years teaching Biology at Winters Mill.

Administrative Principal, Mr. Tom Riddle

 Mr. Riddle graduated from McDaniel College with a Bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Secondary Education.  He earned his Master's degree from McDaniel College in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Administration.  Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal at South Carroll High School, Mr. Riddle taught Social Studies at North Carroll High School and Manchester Valley High School.  He was also an ESOL Resource Teacher at South Carroll. 


Academic Facilitator,
Mrs. Alison King

 Mrs. King graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Writing, and Women’s Studies, and a Master’s degree in Teaching.  Mrs. King taught English at Westminster High School and New Windsor Middle School, and before coming to South Carroll, served as Crisis Counselor and Facilitator of Student Support at Liberty High School.  In between her work with CCPS, Mrs. King also served as case manager for the Violence Intervention Program at Family and Children’s Services, working with domestic violence victims and offenders.

Athletic Director,
Mr. James Horn

Mr. Horn graduated from Mt. St. Mary's College with a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education.  He taught United States and European History at South Carroll from 1982 through 2004.  Mr. Horn coached soccer, basketball and track at South Carroll before becoming an Athletic Director in 2000.  He earned a Certified Masters Athletic Administrator from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.  He was recognized as the Maryland Soccer Coach of the Year in 1993 and the Maryland Athletic Director of the Year in 2007.
