  Mr. Jeffrey Hopkins, Principal

 Mr. Hopkins received his Bachelor  of  Science Degree in Social Studies Education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and his Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision from Loyola College.  After serving as a social studies teacher, coach, and assistant principal at Glen Burnie, South River, and Meade High Schools in Anne Arundel County, Mr. Hopkins came to Westminster High School as an assistant principal from 2004-2008.  After leaving Westminster High in 2008, he served as an assistant principal at North Carroll High School prior to opening Manchester Valley High School in 2009.  Mr. Hopkins served as an assistant principal at South Carroll High School for two years prior to becoming the principal at SCHS in 2012.  Mr. Hopkins returned to Westminster High School in July of 2015. 
 

 

Mr.Sam Buckley, Assistant Principal

Mr. Buckley received his Masters of Science in Administration &
Supervision, and Bachelor of Science degrees from Morgan State University. He has completed 9 years in education, seven of them serving the Baltimore City Public Schools students, parents and community. Mr. Buckley has served as a middle and high teacher, athletic director and department chair. His education motto is “Intelligence plus character- that is the goal of true education”. ― Martin Luther King Jr. Mr. Buckley enjoys working with young people in order to shape their minds to become college & career ready. Mr. Buckley was appointed Assistant Principal at WHS in July of 2016.

 

      
Ms. Jen Herman, Assistant Principal

Ms. Herman received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Western Maryland College and her Master of Arts from McDaniel College.  She obtained her Administration and Supervision certification from McDaniel College and is currently working to complete her Master of Education in Secondary School Administration and Supervision from McDaniel College.  She was a teacher, department chair, service learning coordinator, and coach for 15 years before becoming an Assistant Principal at Century High School in 2011.  She obtained her National Board Certification for teaching in 2008.  Ms. Herman was also an adjunct graduate professor at McDaniel College, teaching a course on the modern world.  She and her husband co-founded C.A.I.N., a non-profit organization that assists athletes in need in Carroll County.  Ms. Herman will continue her role as Assistant Principal at Westminster High School. 

  

Ms. Jane Clark, Assistant Principal

Ms. Clark received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York and her Master of Science Degree in Education from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. She began her teaching career in New York where she also served as a cheerleading coach and FBLA advisor. Ms. Clark came to Carroll County in 2005 as a business teacher at Francis Scott Key High School. While at Key she also served as Department Chair, School Improvement Team Chair, Internal Coordinator for their Middle States Reaccreditation process and Acting Assistant Principal. Ms. Clark began serving as Assistant Principal at Westminster High School in July of 2014.


Mr. Wesley Winters, Assistant Principal

Mr. Winters received his Masters of Science in Educational Leadership, Masters Equivalency of Special Education, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD.  Mr. Winters started his teaching career in the area of special education in 2003, where he served nine years at Winters Mill High School.  Mr. Winters came to WHS in 2012 and has spent the last three years at Westminster High School working in special education and serving as the department chair and as the head wrestling coach. Mr. Winters was appointed Assistant Principal at WHS in July of 2015. 


Ms. Kari Ganske
Academic Facilitator

Ms. Ganske received her Bachelor of Science Degree in both Psychology and Education of Secondary English from Towson University.  She began teaching English and dance at Westminster High School in 2001 and has been an Owl ever since.  In addition to promoting instructional technology, Ms. Ganske is also the North Regional Director for Cheerleading in Maryland and a nationally certified cheerleading judge.  Ms. Ganske choreographs the spring musicals, plans the Pep Rally, and is a member of the CCPS Promethean Leaders Team.  She began serving as the Academic Facilitator at Westminster High School in the Fall of  2013.

Mr. Terry Molloy
Administrator of Athletics and Facilities


Mr. Molloy received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education K-12 and his Masters of Science in Education degree from State University of New York College at Cortland.  He served as a Coach Lecturer at Susquehanna University for five years before moving to Maryland where he started his High School teaching and coaching career in public schools in the Frederick County Public School system.  Mr. Molloy spent seven years in Frederick County before coming to CCPS.  He taught Physical Education and coached at WHS for three years before moving into Athletic Administration and becoming the school’s Director of Athletics, Activities and Facilities, a position he has held since 2004.
